Eromanga Sea Monsters
Digital paleoenvironmental reconstruction, Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibition
Scientific curator: Dr. Scott Hocknull
Created as part of the exhibition Dinosaurs Unearthed, 2023
Panoramic reconstruction of the Cretaceous Eromanga Sea, the vast inland sea that once covered much of Australia. The scene depicts a hunting interaction between the Richmond polycotylid plesiosaur and the giant pliosaur Kronosaurus. Ammonites and schooling fish provide additional ecological context and scale.
